Get your glow back with Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is the newest treatment to arrive at Pinks.co and the results are causing a bit of excitement, so much so it's fast becoming one of our most popular services!

If you want to know more about this treatment and understand how it can help you get your glow back then read on.

How does Microdermabrasion work?
The treatment involves mechanically exfoliating away the outermost layer of dead skin cells. To do this we use a handset that directs a stream of non allergenic crystals over the area, a gentle kind of vacuum action sweeps up the crystals and skin debris (if you think this may sound like it could be painful, I can assure you that it's actually a very gentle, pleasant, relaxing facial treatment).
The Pinks.co Deluxe Microdermabrasion experience
When we designed a microdermabrasion facial package, it was always our priority to make it a true pampering experience for you. We wanted to deliver the microdermabrasion treatment whilst embracing elements of our traditional facials that we know you love. So, in addition to the microdermabrasion function we feature luxury massages & masks using beautiful, soothing organic oils with skin nourishing qualities and exquisite aromas to provide a treat for your skin and mind.
Why book this treatment?
Microdermabrasion is non-invasive yet achieves amazing results revealing younger, healthier looking skin from the very first treatment (you'll love your healthy glow and find that makeup never looked so good on your skin). The skins appearance is further improved through increased collagen & elastin production as your body produces a new layer of skin.  Microdermabrasion is suitable for all skin types and tones, even sensitive skin.
The treatment is progressive rather than aggressive, so skin layers are gently removed over a course of treatments. We usually recommend a course of 3 to 6 treatments, depending on your requirements and with treatments ideally being carried out every 7 – 10 days, each treatment can be increased in intensity. This will make sure the microdermabrasion exfoliation reaches deeper layers of the skin and allows for acne scarring to be removed, pigmentation lifted and fine lines smoothed.

Whoever you are, the Microdermabrasion Facial will help you to attain smoother, youthful looking skin.

As an anti-ageing treatment we recommend microdermabrasion from the age of 28 and up.  It's also very effective at treating a number of skin issues which can occur at any time of life and to any skin type - for problematic skin all age groups can benefit and see an improvement with a course of Skinbase MD treatment.
Acne & Acne Scarring - Microdermabrasion works by removing the top layers of dead skin cells from the skin's surface making it particularly effective in treating acne.  Eliminating dead skin cells unclogs pores and minimises sebum production reducing the chance of new spots developing.
Fine Lines & Wrinkles, Ageing Skin - As we age elastin and collagen production starts to slow down.  The vacuum action of the microdermabrasion treatment works to stimulate blood flow, promoting elastin and collagen production.  The combination of collagen stimulation and increased skin renewal will improve the condition of the skin's surface smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles.
Dull & Tired Skin, Uneven Skin Tone, Dry & Dehydrated Skin - normally skin renews itself approximately every 28 days.  By removing the dead cells from the top layer of the epidermis, microdermabrasion speeds up the rate at which skin replenishes to reveal new, fresh skin and a radiant glow.
Cellulite 'Orange Peel' Effect - microdermabrasion can't cure cellulite however it will stimulate circulation, improving blood flow to the area.  To improve the appearance of cellulite make sure you drink plenty of water and exercise regularly.
Pigmentation & Blemishes, Stretch Marks - microdermabrasion can vastly improve the appearance of pigmentation and stretch marks.  The microdermabrasion treatment promotes a 'lifting and smoothing' effect, improving skin condition and diminishing the appearance of stretch marks and discolouration.
